AVHIC: 18 years of history
In year 1993 the Association of Hygienist Veterinarians of Catalonia (AVHIC), with 19 members|partners, who signed the minutes of constitution on the 16th March of 1993 was constituted.
In those moments the alimentary certainty|security was not as d’actualitat as now, but a period of significant changes was the alimentary certainty|security. The admission|income of the State in the European Union in year 1986, it|he made necessary that during the first half of the 90 the companies alimentary they had to fulfill some new sanitary rules imposed by the community directives|management. In those moments of change, the veterinarians, so of the sanitary administration how those of the private companies, they believed necessary that it|he|she had itself|himself|herself that to share experiences and information. The veterinarians were very isolated some of the other ones and it was necessary to search some formula to be able to fight against this insulation|isolation.
It is the AVHIC for this that was created, to integrate the veterinarians interested in the field of the public health, the hygiene and technology of the foods and the environment into all of them.
